What I am up to... Fundraising!

This God - his way is perfect;
the word of the LORD proves true;
he is a shield for all those who take refuge in him.

2 Samuel 22:31

As I've been preparing for what is ahead with fundraising, continual training, the Lords's continual refining in me and much more, I have been reading 2 Samuel (and I invite everyone to read this amazing story). Recently, with much of the personal reflection on what is to come, the unknown, the fundraising road trip I am on, and so many things we consume ourselves with as humans (especially in those moments when we slip out of our TRUE focus as followers of our Savior) the Lord keeps reminding me of this verse, especially the portion in bold. It's his word! It's true! His way IS perfect. May we remember this regardless.

Praise Report:

I write from Shelton, WA. It’s day four (of 11 days) of our fundraising road trip. God has kept us safe and we enjoyed more of his beautiful creation as we drove through Northern California, Oregon and now Washington.

I visited with a few friends on our way (our stops so far have been in San Jose, Santa Clara, Sacramento, Portland area, and Olympia area). We had wonderful fellowship and I have been blessed by their encouragement in word and in deed. God has loved me so tenderly through these friends, from warm hospitality to a commitment to be a part of what God is doing in the Land of Sheba. It’s been so fun to share about what God is doing in LoS!

Prayer:

Please continue to pray for both Beckie (my friend from training leaving to Uganda in Feb.) and me as we continue to meet with friends and relatives on our fundraising road trip. Pray for safe travels as well and for the people we will fellowship with. Thank you for praying, it is evident that we are covered with your prayers.

Have a wonderful weekend!

And please tell me how I can pray for you.
