Let's practice this unity in Chr1st =)

Last night at work I went to the kid's intensive care unit, where I sometimes help out, and my mind was on overload as difficult questions about ethical medical dilemmas swarmed my little brain. It was more than just ethics bombarding my mind, heart and soul as I cared for little ones and families in the midst of heartbreaking life stories... It's life, purpose, meaning, the unexplainable, the unfair, our broken world! It's so hard to put all this into words, really!

This afternoon I woke up thinking (still with some residual thoughts from last night) about everyone that's a part of this step I'm taking to go with his grace, and a song came to my mind...

For I Am Convinced

For I am convinced
That neither death, nor life
Nor angels, nor principalities
Nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers
Nor height, nor depth
Nor any other created thing
Shall be able to separate us from the love of God
Which is in Christ Jesus, our Lord.

"Living unity in Chr1st as the body" came back to me, so I looked up Romans 8 and I got the point the Hol.y Sp1r1t was getting to: "Christ Jesus is the one who died—more than that, who was raised— who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us." Romans 8:34

It's so easy to get discouraged, heck, to receive the discouragement! As if that could really determine who we are. Yes we are fallen, it's a fallen world. Nothing new. BUT in Chr1st we are united to the Father regardless. Our identity is in him. Jes.us is at work, he is interceding for us! Can we join him? YES! Let's join him as the body that he unites. Let's be encouraged in him, comforted from love, participating in the Spirit, with affection and sympathy, having the same mind, being in full accord and of one mind (phil2:1-3). Let's remind each other that nothing can separate us from his love!

Practice:
Please join me and hundreds, or maybe even thousands, as we interceed for the Shaarda family serving in Uganda. I thought about their kiddo last night. Their one year old son (Luka) has been in the hospital in Kenya. He is recovering, praise God! But it's been a long hard road (a little more than 2 weeks in the hospital). Thx for reading! Hope I made sense =)
