"We're pr.ying for you!" "Take care" "We love you"

(Me and some of my little cousins)
(the signs up for my party ~ translation above in quotations)

Last Wednesday was a special day. As I walked all over town with my mom and aunt, unbeknownst to me my other aunts decorated my grandma’s for a farewell party. Later that evening I walked into my grandma’s and it looked like there was another party in progress (we had just had a mother’s day celebration, then a belated kids’ day celebration – yes Mexicans find reasons to celebrate!). I read one of the decoration pieces and it read, “We love you Claudia!” My heart melted with love and sadness – the bitter-sweetness of it all.
I was asked to share all about the country I am moving to in August, after some tears of sadness and excitement my family learned all about this beautiful country and its people. They also heard about Go.d’s love for the people in this country, for them and myself. They asked questions, we shared stories, and pictures of the people I will soon serve. Then we prayed together. Words cannot describe what I felt that day. I just know that I am very much loved and supported.
Thank you for praying for my time in Mexico. I will cherish this time when I most need it. My prayer for my family is that they will continue to draw near to Him and that those that do not know Him will soon come into a deep and intimate knowledge of Him.
