Thankful

Our Thanksgiving Feast!

I didn't eat turkey this thanksgiving... I didn't mind. I did get to eat stuffing (my momma's recipe, my #1 favorite Thxgiving grub.) and yummy side dishes (more of my favorites), and after the hopeful but disappointing close call for a turkey (the "giant chickens" at the local store) we had yummy local cooked chicken.

I got to hang out with some of the best group of people one can ask for and talked to the family back home. It was a fun day full of food and games! I was so thankful for those He's blessed me with (you reading this and everyone else in my life). As I thank Him and continue to process all the info I learned on my last conference, I can't stop thinking about how thankful I am about one of the MANY things Je5u5 has done for me and you. He scorned shame! What does that mean? He made shame into nothing, He mocked it, dismissed it as nothing. Our Savior wiped all our shame away through His Victorious resurrection and life. Sin has nothing on us through Him. Ha! And here I've been holding on to lies that have brought me deep feelings of shame in life. This is not something new, I grew up believing in Him. I've known this and maybe you do too. But have we really considered this? Have we made the mind to heart connection about this Truth?

There might be layers upon layers involved in all of this in your life... and sometimes we think, when will I ever resolve these issues! I've been there. Tons. Same old tactics of the enemy that we allow. Okay so let's ask the H0ly Sp1r1t to come and bring breakthrough clinging to Truth, His truth. That there will be mind to heart connections about His Truth so we will live it out today, not in the afterlife... His W0rd is for today. For you and me.

"Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart." Hebrews 12:1-3 (NIV version)

WE ARE WITHOUT SHAME IN JE5U5!
Just a few more references to consider (and there's much more to consider): Romans 10:9-11; 1 Peter 2:4-6; Romans 9:30-33; Psalms 35:1-3; 34:5
Let me know if you want more. I'm happy to share.
